bin

bin
bin
short for waste-bin, has given rise in BrE to a transitive verb to bin, meaning ‘to throw away’ or (figuratively) ‘to reject’:

• Who remembers the kind of middle-class good behaviour, thrift and modesty that have been binned along with Bromo, the Church Times and meals for one? —Independent on Sunday, 1990.

The inflections are binned, binning.
